The Resilient Region Foundation is a British Columbia–based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities in the face of environmental, economic, and social change. Established in 2026, we work to advance resilience through practical, forward-thinking solutions that help the Metro Vancouver region adapt, recover, and thrive.

To convene governments, industry and communities in building resilience through design-focussed dialogue, collaboration, and innovation.

Community Resilience
We support initiatives that strengthen local capacity to prepare for and respond to rapid change in the Metro Vancouver Region
Research & Strategy
We contribute to the development of evidence-based design dialogue, exploration and facilitation that inform planning, policy, and long-term resilience.
Partnerships
We collaborate with public, private, and nonprofit partners to scale impact and share knowledge across sectors.
Education & Capacity Building
We provide tools and learning opportunities that empower communities and leaders to translate policy into resilient and livable communities.

The Resilient Region Foundation is currently guided by its founding directors and is in the process of establishing a diverse and experienced Board of Directors. We are committed to building a governance structure that reflects a wide range of perspectives, expertise, and lived experience aligned with our mission.
